The Practice Study On Improvement Of "Painting Schema" In Junior Primary School’s Children

Abstract/Summary:
Children who are in the first or second grade are in the period of painting schema, which is also the most vibrant period of the children. However, art works of pupils at lower grades often look like "stereotyped" painting schema. This drawing graphics, mostly influenced by brief strokes teaching mode, it is a fixed pattern which will inhibit pupils’ creative expression to learn art. The children who are in this painting mode will form a fixed visual way of thinking, at the same time, they will also lose their ability to perform art, the independent thinking, the imagination and unique creativity, which will lead to inhibit children’s emotional expression.In this paper, the author analyzed the children’s painting psychology at junior primary school, as well as the current painting schema’s characteristics, the reason why the pupils have formed painting schema; and summarized the impact of painting schemata to children; pointing that it is important and necessary to improve the painting schema at junior primary school. The author suggested that teaching pupils the art appreciation, sketch creation teaching and children’s picture book teaching, change the single painting schemata and improve the children’s ability of drawing performance.This paper consists of five parts:Part one:contains three sub-parts, the first one is the hypotheses, literature review; the second one is the research object, contents and methods; the last one is theoretical and practical significance of this paper.Part two:analyzed the pupils’ painting psychology, which will give the direction to the effective methods to improving the conceptual schema.Part three:then take the Jinhua squares foreign language primary school grade one or two students as the research object, the analysis of the current junior primary school "children painting" characteristics, cause of formation and influence on children’s painting, and Point out the importance and the necessity of improving children’s painting.Part four:based on the conceptual schema in the shape, color, composition on the characteristics of a single, repeat as the breakthrough point, design the teaching cases, and then compared before and after student teaching art, finally carries on the teaching reflection.Part five:teaching suggestions:strengthen the teaching of art appreciation, the sketch creation teaching and the children’s picture book teaching.
