In our country, education information promoting education modernization is the strategic choice for the development of education enterprise. Teachers’ information technology teaching ability is the core and key to promote education information of the school, and to improve the teaching quality of education. In this paper, using "information technology teaching ability of teachers" as the theme keywords for precise retrieval with the advanced retrieval in China(CNKI) full text database in July 2014, the retrieval results a total of 139 records. From the opening of the national work conference on information technology education of the primary and secondary schools in 2000, researchers began to study the information teaching ability of Chinese middle and primary teachers. It’s have obtained certain research results in the information technology teaching ability, including the connotation and structure, present situation and the influencing factors, and the development and promotion strategy and so on. In this study, it will investigate and analyze the Liaoning province current situation of the middle school teachers’ information technology teaching ability on the basis of the analysis of the previous research summary. To find the existing problems and put forward the corresponding solving strategies, in order to provide some reference for improving the ability of middle school teachers’ information technology teaching in our province.This study establishes five dimensions of teacher information teaching ability from the perspective of teachers’ information technology teaching ability, based on the China How Net(CNKI) full-text database of relevant literature: the information teaching consciousness and attitude, the information teaching basic knowledge and skills, the information teaching design ability, the information teaching implement ability and to promote students information learning ability. Use the theoretical framework of the research to organize the questionnaire about the middle school teachers’ information technology teaching ability. To regard the questionnaire recovery data as the research object, carrying out the overall status of description and the analysis of the differences, relating to teacher’s personal information, school information teaching environment, the present situation of the information technology teaching ability and the training situation. By using the correlation analysis between the various dimensions, teachers’ information technology teaching ability are drawn, as well as the degree of correlation between the ability dimension and teacher training.In the end, according to the result of data analysis to summarize the current situation and existing problems of the teachers’ information technology teaching ability of Liaoning province. To put forward effective strategies and suggestion to improve teachers’ information technology teaching ability, in order to improve our province middle school teachers’ information teaching ability.
