With the continuous development of the curriculum reform, research and developmen t of local history teaching has increasingly become a new important aspect in many sc hools in teaching. Study on how to develop the local history textbook, and the organic integration of history teaching in middle school, improve the common features of the school education, to achieve the professional development of teachers, students’ qualit y education and academic achievement, and ultimately the development of local histor ical material value. This article from the middle school history teaching practice, thro ugh the case of Jinxian County in Jiangxi province Nanchang City second middle sch ool history teaching material of local development, the general process of developmen t of Jinxian local history textbook: institution, research, standard setting, teaching mat erials and teaching practice and evaluation. Jinxian No. 2 middle school through the d evelopment and implementation of Jinxian local history textbook, promoted the forma tion and characteristics of school education to improve the comprehensive ability of te achers’ professional skills, students, conform to the demand of teaching reform, has be en the community’s recognition and praise, out of a new world of ordinary high school history textbooks in the local development.
