The cultivation of the chemical literacy of citizens is not only located in elite education, but The cultivation of the chemical literacy of citizens is positioned in popular education.The author selected the cultivation of young citizens’chemical literacy as the topic,with reference to the Mille’s three dimensions for scientific literacy assessment, and the author combined the Mille’s three dimensions with the actual situation of Chinese young citizens’chemical literacy cultivation and training.Young citizens’ chemical literacy can be divided into three dimensions,which are the way of thinking, the using of concept and chemistry and life.Through the analysis of 150 sampling questionaires, there are higher correlation between the the young citizens’ chemical literacy and the age, professional, and level of education, then working out the corresponding measures to cultivating young chemical literacy.To cultivate young citizens’chemical literacy,teachers’comprehensive quality and teaching methid are the main affected factors.
