Metacognition is often defined as "cognition about cognition", which means theindividual understandings and regulation of their own cognitive process. As a popularresearch topic in the cognitive psychology, metacognition plays a big role in developingstudents’ intelligence and solving the problem such as "teach students how to learn".However, most of the investigation and study of metacognitive status showed that,students’ metacognitive level is generally very low in China. Therefore, for educationworkers, to improve students’ metacognitive ability is one of the urgent needs to solve theproblem.The students’ learning activities is essentially a process of problem solving. Problemsolving is also an important way to cultivate students’ metacognitive ability. This study isbased on the research of metacognition and problem-solving in the domestic. Whichcombined the characteristics of chemistry and guidanced on the theory of cognitivepsychology and information processing science. This study constructs a theoreticalframework and model which is about Cultivation of metacognitive ability in solvingchemical problem. By using the method of questionnaire investigation, experimentalresearch method, measured students’ metacognitive ability in the solution of chemicalproblems, to verify the effectiveness of the training mode.And in-depth analysis on theresults, draw the appropriate conclusions. Thus make suggestions for teachers tounderstand students’ level of metacognition, and improving the ability of students’metacognition.The thesis consists of five parts; the main contents of each part are as follows:The first part, expounded the reasons of selecting the topic and the value of theresearch in theory and practice. Metacognitive ability development of the students isthe inevitable demand of the education; the cultivation of students’ metacognitive ability isone of the chemistry learning tasks; problem solving is an important way to cultivatestudents’ Metacognitive ability.The second part, reviewed the related research of the chemical problem solving modeand Cultivation of metacognitive ability in Chemistry Subject.To draw the situation, methods and strategies of Cultivation of metacognitive ability in solving chemical problem.And find the shortage of the research which is about Cultivation of metacognitive ability insolving chemical problem.The third part, constructed theories. On the basis of the previous theoretical,analysis to build a “metacognitive map in chemistry problem solving†and proposedmetacognitive training strategy of high school chemistry problem solving. Applicationtraining strategy built the training mode of metacognitive ability in solving chemicalproblem and designed specific practical cases based on the model.The fourth part carried out practical research.Select internship brought class education,a high school classes offering two classes for the study, were used as the experimentalclasses and control classes. Select the education with practice class, grade one of highschool class5, and class2as the research object, respectively as the experimental classand the control class. The students in the experimental class were cultured with trainingmode construction. Test for the experimental class and control class before and after withthe "chemical problem solving metacognition questionnaire" which was made by FayeWong (2014).The fifth part, based on the above data analysis, summarized the conclusions obtainedin this study. According to the conclusions, analysis the implementation of the scheme andfound that if we can enrich and add something to the scheme. Reflect on the present study,identify the problems and shortcomings of this study exist. |
