This paper made a study on metacognitive training of physical problem solving in senior high school.This study first reviewed metacognitive theories, used metacognitive point of view for the thinking process of problem solving in physics, emphasized metacognition plays an important role in solving problem in the physical process and also metacognitive training studies have been summarized, and then made a survey on the students of Grade 1 in senior high school. Analyzed and compared various existing metacognitive training methods, combined with the thinking process of the physical problem-solving and physical characteristics,and based on the development of meta-cognitive level and development characteristics, in search of better and operable metacognitive training methods in current teaching conditions, and conducted experimental research.The constructed metacognitive training methods include two major aspects. The one hand, from the perspective of teachers, metacognitive training, mainly adopted the following strategies:(1) to guide students to build a complete knowledge of the network, to achieve the overall optimization of cognitive structure; (2) thinking strategies to teach the necessary knowledge and learning methods; (3) Focus on the thinking process of resolving physical problems during explaining the physical exercises; (4) to strengthen the non-intellectual factors. On the other hand is from the perspective of students, mainly to take the following measures:(1) the establishment of error correction; (2) physical journal writing, its content must also include the date of the school, problems, self-reflective evaluation, future plans, etc.; (3) a single question with a question of the physical operation of paper work to do physical exercises; (4) Students can choose different levels of operation.In the experimental study,50 subjects were selected as experimental group and 50 subjects as the control group, were ranged in a quasi-experimental control group design, results showed that:(1) Physics problem-solving ability and the level of metacognition was a significant positive correlation in high school students.(2) In this study, the metacognitive training will improve their level of metacognitive ability of physical problem solving.(3) In this study, the metacognitive training can improve their physical ability to solve problems.(4) For the best students, the effects of metacognitive training are better maintained and migration.but for the rest,the effects of metacognitive training is not significant. Experimental results especially the last item were discussed for reflection, to find out the reasons led to this result.
