A Study On The Mechanism Of Inspiration And Restriction On Private College Counselors

Private higher education，starting from the1980s, is an essential part of thecountry’s higher education system and has achieved sparkling accomplishments in itsteaching quality and talents cultivation through3decades development. Counselors inprivate colleges, who have contributed tremendously to its accomplishments, are aspecial group of people and directly responsible for the moral cultivation of collegestudents. They are the core power in organizing moral education and guidingstudents’ growth, so they are the guides for college students in helping them grow andsucceed. However, as our country is gradually converging with the world and theeducation is getting popularized, college counselors are bearing increasing stress intheir work confronted with the new situation, new cases, new problem, new tasks andnew challenges. Although the country has issued a number of documents and somefavorable policies to support the construction of college counselor team, manyproblems still exist in the face of the new situation and the new developmental trend.What’s worse, taking a look at the college counselor team in private colleges, onlyseveral documents and references are relevant to an integrate, comprehensive, overalland practical construction scheme.Based on the theories of human capital and the hypothesis of human nature, byusing the research methods of literature，interviews and questionnaires and referringto the relevant documents and materials from the student affairs management indeveloped countries and studying their mistakes, experience and merits, this paperaims at studying the mechanism of inspiration and restriction in private collegecounselors by investigating the teachers and students in XY College. The author putsforward the current situation in private colleges and universities counselor teambuilding, analyzes its existing problems and possible reasons, and probing the basic principle, system security and how to construct the inspiration and restriction system.Therefore, paying attention to the college counselor construction, developing acorresponding specialized and sustainable college is of great importance in fullyimplement the party’s education policy, improving the whole quality and efficiency ofcollege counselors, and implementing the students’ moral education and dailymanagement. This paper will have great theoretical and practical significance inenhancing the construction of college counselor team, ensuring sound and long-termdevelopment of private colleges.
