In recent years, the phenomenon of school choosing the stage of compulsoryeducation has become a hot issue in China in the field of education focus. Schoolchoice, is "(students) choose the school entrance."[modern Chinese dictionary, SixthEdition, the Commercial Press,2012edition, page1627th] the phenomenon of schoolchoosing is in the condition of high quality education resources lack or imbalance, theparents of the students choose the behavior is relatively good schools for theirchildren. In the "national long-term education reform and development plan (2010-2020)" solicit the views of school choice in the process, the stage of compulsoryeducation has become the focus of concern to ordinary people.The first part of the compulsory education and the meaning of school choice,school choice is when parents are not satisfied with the child of census register seatschool quality, these schools will take the initiative to give up, and the use of masterall kinds of resources to choose other more satisfactory for the child’s school. Basedon the balanced development of the education theory and marxist theory of educationand fairness as a theoretical basis for solving the problem of choice. Papers in thesecond part mainly discusses the changchun city compulsory education stage ofschool choice, the present situation and problems. Through the way of questionnaireto understand the current situation of changchun city compulsory education stagechoosing, to discover flaws and problems. The main ills is widening the gap betweenhigh quality schools and weak schools, sent the imbalance of education resources;Increase the economic burden of parents; Against the development of studentsphysical and mental health; Contribute to the wind of the exam-oriented education. Atthe same time to find the ills of analyze the reasons, mainly because of school choiceills is the product of high quality education resources capitalization; Is the product ofsocial and economic development; Is the product of the growing population pressureand employment contradiction. The last part of the paper mainly discusses thedisadvantages of to find and trying to put forward measures to solve the problem, first of all, to increase the different levels of education investment, promote the balanceddevelopment of the education, secondly to realize high quality education resourcessharing, enlarge high quality education resources. Once again to increase high qualityeducation resources, alleviate education choice difficult. Finally to popularize moderneducation concept, establish and improve the social and human developmentevaluation mechanism. To solve the problem of choice, we should not only use forreference the experience of governance in other cities in China, also want to select aschool by foreign policy and management experience and enlightenment. Select aproblem we should follow the idea of balanced development of education, realize theeducation fair.
