Nowadays, the application of IT, education informationization and some emerging technologies urge a majority of our universities to establish their portals. This is an access the university can show the brand image to the public, complete teaching management activities, the teachers and the students inside can acquire knowledge and information, is to exchange and share internal and external information under the background of education informationization. How to improve university portals user satisfaction, and how to achieve its function fast and efficiently, is the constant pursuit of every university portal. At present, portals construction of universities has reached a certain level with their own characteristics. However, there exit some problems affecting user satisfaction of website such as information redundancy, poor usability and so on. This paper will dig into the influencing factors of education website user satisfaction, put forward the corresponding countermeasure and suggestion for the site optimization and lay the foundation for construction and development of universities portals.The paper reviews the relevant literature, and constructs the factors model of the university portals’customer satisfaction based on the theory of user satisfaction, and then takes the author’s university--Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications as an example to conduct the questionnaire survey and empirical research. This article verifies the factors influencing the education website user satisfaction model based on the data collected. The paper put forward the countermeasure and suggestion for the portals optimization, as a result, to promote the construction of the portals and enhance the reputation and brand image of universities in the public.
