Study Of Contemporary College Students’ Civic Consciousness

Citizen consciousness is associated with the human society civilization and gradually developed a kind of modern consciousness; it is the foundation of the national democratization, legalization, is an important symbol of social modernization. Citizen consciousness is not, however, has inherent internally or by the spontaneous formation of the, but need external education gradually fostered with a purpose. College students who will enter society science, system of civic education, to cultivate the citizen consciousness and the good citizen behavior, is the need of construction of socialist modernization. Based on this, the author of the study starts from the following five aspects, hoping to contribute our country citizen consciousness cultivation.The first section is the introduction. It mainly expounds upon the background of the selected topic, its research significance, the related literature review, research ideas in addition to the innovative ideas of this thesis.The second section is the theory of civic consciousness. Civil consciousness initially originated in the west, has a profound theoretical basis and perfect system design, so the civil consciousness comb the situation of the development and evolution in the west is smoothly points in this paper. This paper studies the citizen consciousness from the following three parts:reviewing the history of the development of civil consciousness, the constituent elements and connotation of civic consciousness.The third section is about the status quo of contemporary college students’ citizen consciousness of investigation and analysis. The author uses the questionnaire survey, respectively from the national consciousness, legal consciousness, democratic consciousness, adult consciousness, social morality consciousness and the ecological consciousness from six aspects designed questionnaire, and summarizes the characteristics of college students’ citizen consciousness according to the results of the survey and the weak link. On the basis of the questionnaire as well as the characteristics of college students this paper analyzes the reason of this status quo.The fourth section expounds the necessity to cultivate the citizen consciousness of college students and the target. First of all, from the needs of the development of social modernization and the perspective of the college students’ own development needs its necessity; Second, develop students and shape is suitable for China’s social development needs of qualified citizens this overall goal, the cultivation of the consciousness of adult college students, the cultivation of virtue to generate and beliefs as to achieve the total target specific goals.The fifth section is the possible countermeasures. This section will operate on the basis of the previous sections and combining with the social reality thus to put forward several approaches and means of improving college students’ civic consciousness.
