The independent college is a new mode of education, which combines high quality educational resources with social capital under the popularization of higher education. The independent college is not fully accepted by society and the market, due to its novelty. In an increasingly competitive environment, the independent college is in a disadvantageous position. The employment of graduates has become a social focus, which has made the problem of the independent college more prominent.Recently, during the practical work, the author found that the employment problem of the SLG Independent college is more prominent. It is widely known that the employment of graduates will affect the school’s ability to recruit new students and consequently the school’s sustainable development. So, the school’s priority should not be to merely recruit or care for a quantity of students. Rather, the school’s priority must be increasing student quality and the employment of graduates. Because of that, I study the problem of the school’s employment in the hope of guiding my work and reform my daily work.This paper use the way of literature research, questionnaires and interviews to study the employment problem of the SLG independent college graduates. Through the analysis of the employment situation of the these graduates and according to the results of questionnaires and interviews, it can be concluded that the employment of SLG independent college graduates is limited due to two factors:an internal factor and an external factor. According to the results of analysis, I give some suggestions which including society, students and school side. It is hoped that these suggestions will provide direction for the employment department of SLG independent college and solve the actual problem of graduate employment.The suggestions presented in this paper will also provide guidance for other independent colleges. |
