Owing to the poor cultural quality of students and relatively antiquated mathematicalteaching methods, it is imperative to improve the mathematical teaching efficiency insecondary vocational school, in order to achieve the teaching goal----to help students to obtainessential knowledge and train them to become highly skilled personnel.Affective Teaching is one teaching method which has been widely valued in teachingpractice at all levels in recent years. To vigorously promote the emotional dimension at classand enhance the use of affective teaching in vocational mathematical teaching has also beenproposed as a subject. However, the mentioned strategies are not comprehensive ormeticulous because of a lack of in-depth research.Through the questionnaire survey, the author analyses the current situation ofmathematical affective teaching in secondary vocational school, and then makes a conclusionthat there is a lack of mathematical affective teaching in secondary vocational school.Moreover, the author finds several key points to penetrate emotional teaching into classes: thelevel of teachers’ emotional awareness, the well-established emotional relationship betweenteachers and students, the development of students’ emotion in mathematics, the setting ofemotional teaching situation and the migration of students from professional learning tomathematics learning.All around these issues, integrating the many years’ experience in vocationalmathematics teaching practice and combining with the vocational-style mathematics teachingcases, the author tries to propose that the affective teaching strategies should be applied tomathematical teaching in secondary vocational school and should be made to fully serve forthe classroom teaching of secondary vocational school.The following are the affective teaching strategies of mathematical classes in secondaryvocational school proposed by the author:First of all, the teachers are required to improve the understanding of the affectiveteaching and the ability to use it.As the leaders of the classroom, only when we are aware of the significance and effects of affective teaching, can we put it into teaching practice in abetter way.Secondly, teachers should strengthen the communication with students through a varietyof ways. To smoothly implement affective teaching, it is necessary to build a friendlyrelationship between teachers and students.Thirdly, it is necessary to enhance the aesthetic education level in mathematics classroomteaching. Mathematical aesthetic infiltration in classroom is an effective method to promotestudents’ enthusiasm because aesthetic education itself and affective teaching is connectedclosely.The fourth is to set appropriate mathematics teaching situation for vocational students inthe classroom. To set the proper context for the students will help them to develop learninginterest in math. Furthermore, the students will get benefits from it. For the settings ofvocational mathematics teaching situations, it is possible to be non-professional context or tobe related to their majors. By comparison, the latter makes it easier to stimulate students’enthusiasm for learning.Finally, the mathematics teaching of secondary vocational school should be reasonablycombined with professional teaching. The students of secondary vocational school hold acommon affection for their professional learning. If we can guide students to migrate theirlearning interest to mathematics learning, it will gradually improve the learning initiatives andpromote the teaching efficiency. Eventually mathematics learning and professional learningwill complement and promote mutually.For the above affective teaching strategies, the corresponding teaching cases will bedisplayed and verified in the paper.The affective strategies of mathematical teaching in secondary vocational school remainto be developed, and the effectiveness and operability of affective teaching also need to beimproved, which is one of the goals that the vocational educators and researchers are workingon.
