| Literary classics crystallize the essence of human language and civilization, and it’s the invaluable legacy of human culture. Its educational role in students’development shall never be replaced. However, with information era ushering in mass culture, new social environment poses an unprecedented challenge to literature reading. Students today are faced with various temptations but none of them is related to literature. To avoid this situation going beyond control, The Average High School Course Standard (Experiment) issued in2003demands students finish certain amount of extracurricular reading. Then in2004for the first time literature test appears in Fujian province collage entrance exam in a form of composition. In2007, literature finally wins its place and is brought into collage entrance exam directions.The positive significance of this act is obvious but the negative sides should share the same attention. By analyzing collage entrance exam (from2004to2013) literature questions, Test Directions and course requirements, this article tries to probe into current situation of literature test in collage entrance exam, points out the insufficiency and causes in terms of scope, types and contents. Meantime, this article also will come up with corresponding solutions, with the hope decision makers, examiners and teachers can work together to find better methods, and truly drive senior high school students to read literature. |
