The influence of the Olympic culture makes swimming the mass sports, learning swimming exercise not only can strengthen physical health, still can obtain skills, and adapt to social development. So our country began to advocate learning swimming exercise, and use it as a "national fitness program" main promotion project, at the same time swimming teaching in colleges and universities also has been widely recognized, many universities begin to attach importance to students’ learning swimming, the breaststroke teaching is a basic technique in swimming teaching, learning swimming course in university of breaststroke technology occupy the main position, in order to further optimize the breaststroke teaching, adapt in breaststroke teaching to the students’ physical and mental health development of innovation at the same time, provide reference for the breaststroke teaching in common colleges and universities, this article mainly USES the literature material law, questionnaire investigation, expert interview method and other methods to xi’an7ordinary universities breaststroke teaching present situation investigation, through the present situation of investigation found that there were problems, in view of the problems put forward Suggestions for improvement, lay the foundation for optimization of breaststroke teaching innovation.In this paper, the research conclusion:1Breaststroke teaching faculty in the sex ratio of the present situation of the imbalance between men and women, teachers’ age structure more reasonable, the degree of teachers structure to be optimized, the proportion of the lecturer and ta title structure is more, so schools should strengthen the education of teachers; Teachers continue to re-education opportunity is less, unable to realize teachers’ specialization。2As a result of lack of understanding of the breaststroke teaching student students cannot be breaststroke active exercise, unable to complete the goal of lifelong sports.3Breaststroke in common colleges and universities teaching content is not comprehensive, breaststroke technique teaching content setting, traditional teaching method with the time development of derailment, innovative, can’t reflect students give priority to the teaching purpose of; From the selection of teaching materials and school culture construction. 4The number of ordinary university swimming pool and open degree of basic can meet the needs of teaching and students’ needs, but also need to further improve.
