Since the reform and opening up of our country, vocational education has attractednational attention. The secondary vocational education is not only the most importanteducational position of training skillful talents especially for various social sectors, but also isan important foundation for China’s economic and social development. But we should alsorealize the fact that they, the students of secondary school, are very young and lack of theability to adapt to the employment psychology and social experience, which requires thesecondary vocational schools to improve the employment guidance, to enhance the serviceconsciousness, to help and guide the students to find jobs successfully, to choose correct jobsand improve the quality of employment and social recognition. By doing all of these, we canguarantee the healthy development of employment guidance and promote the continuousprogress and development of secondary vocational schools to adapt to the more severeemployment situation.This paper investigated the present situation of the training and employment guidance ofstudents in Weifang Secondary Specialized School of Science and Technology, aims at theexisting defects of the work in the school’s employment guidance, through study, to findeffective and practical strategies and measures to improve the development of employmentguidance of this school and provide effective employment guidance for students, to makestudents realize that “school is employment”, to help the students to put to use “positiveenergy” of secondary vocational schools effectively to improve their own quality andcomprehensive ability.This paper including the following four parts:The first part mainly discusses the background, purpose and significance, research statusat home and abroad and its start method researched in this paper;The second part mainly discusses the present situation of students’ employment guidanceof Weifang Secondary Specialized School of Science and Technology, based on the researchobjectives, methods and assumptions, through questionnaires and other forms;The third part is about the main problems and causes of the employment guidance in Weifang Secondary Specialized School of Science and Technology. There are the mainproblems and causes of performance: the contradictory phenomenon in implementation of theconcept of employment guidance; less attention of school management levels; teachers’structure and ability in employment guidance; the problems in related activities and theimplementation object of employment guidance etc.;The fourth part mainly puts forward some suggestions to promote employment guidanceof Weifang Secondary Specialized School of Science and Technology: strengthen the conceptof implementation; increase employment guidance implementation of executive force; payattention to the use of implementation tool; improve students’ ability to participate inemployment guidance; create the four-in-one system of individual-family-school-enterprise.
