The Research On Project Management Of Cultural Activities On Private College Campus

With the rapid development of economy and the implement of “nationalrejuvenation through science and technology” strategy since China’s reform andopening up, the construction of campus culture is gaining increasing emphasis fromthe Party, the government, the colleges and the whole society. Although thePrivately-funded colleges emerge in large amounts and become a crucial force inChina’s higher education, they are compelled to increase the investment ininfrastructure so as to get the social recognition and attract more students. What’sworse, the short history of the college, lack of culture heritage and comparatively lackof practical action in connotative construction lay a weak foundation for theconstruction of college campus culture. But we firmly believe that thePrivately-funded colleges will definitely improve its connotative construction withthe accumulation of managerial experience, the new understanding of how to educatestudents and the influence to the soft environment of culture.The connotative construction, which reflects the core competitiveness ofcolleges, is greatly supported by college campus culture. College-campus activities,as the core values and the effective carrier of spiritual shaping of college campus, areincreasingly gaining emphasis these years. However, the researches of collegecampus activities have been mostly performed in state-funded colleges.Privately-funded colleges, functioning as an important component in Chinesehigher-level education system, have a completely different running mechanismcomparing with stated-funded ones. By referring to the domestic and foreignreferences about the construction of college campus culture, together with theworking experiences, This paper starts with connotation, feature, development ofcultural activities on privately-funded college campus,analyzes the existing issuesand reasons in the management process of campus-culture activities and discusses the present management system of campus-culture activities in privately-fundedcolleges. This paper summarizes the important theory in Project Management,including its definition, its history, its basic feature and the two research systems inthe world and the practical managerial operation system. This paper aims at exploringthe common points between cultural activities of college campus and the theory ofproject management. Taking it as the starting point, this paper studies the managerialmode of cultural activities in college campus in a brand-new perspective in order toimprove the activity-management system and provide the better service for theconstruction of college campus culture. Based on the analysis of the necessity andfeasibility of Project Management in the campus-culture activities, this paperpreliminarily studies the mode of Project Management of campus-culture with theemphasis on the elaboration of target control, cost control, quality control, riskcontrol and so on. In the end, taking the example of the application of ProjectManagement Mode in YJLG campus-culture activities, this paper explores thedesigns and measures of Project Management Mode. In particular, the successfulorganization of the celebration party has won great recognition from the guest present,thanks to the application of its organization system, resource allocation, cost control,time control, quality control, project evaluation and inspiration. This is a beneficialand innovative attempt, through the reform of the management system ofcampus-culture activities, to the construction of campus culture of privately-fundedcolleges, where the sustainable development of the construction of campus-cultureactivities will be greatly promoted.
