Mental health education can conduce to the individual mental health,and it is an importantpart of quality education. With the rapid development of society, gradually refined occupationa ldivision of labor, the continuous improvement of professional skill requirements, students invocational colleges facing unprecedented multiple pressures. As students who will soon go towork in vocational schools of nursing (hereinafter referred to as v ocational nursing students),multiple factors characteristic of the nursing profession, as well as single-sex learningenvironment by physiological and psychological development development, mental health,worrying, the effective implementation of mental health education is critical, therefore studyvocational nursing students mental health education is necessary. In this study, literature, caselaw, research and other research methods is used to investigate students’ mental health educationstatus, problems, improvement measures.The high incidences of mental health problems mainlycome from the students themselves, school, family and community, so mental health education isvery necessary. Nursing students’ mental health education has some problems as foll ows: notenough emphasis on mental health education, awareness vague, the overall quality of teachers isnot high, low matching between curriculum and career, and the shortage of effective assessmentmethods. In order to solve mental health education probl em ang to improve the mental healtheducation,we should establish specific goals, follow principles and use five measures to improvenursing students’ mental health education: the optimization of mental health education program,teaching content,curriculum;enhance mental health education and nursing careermatching;strengthening professional teaching, moral education, the activities of the mentalHealth Education; Construction of teacher-led, family, school integration and harmoniousatmosphere of psychological health education network; exploration by students, school,internships participatory common evaluation system.
