The Research Of Land-lost Farmers Identity

With the further increase of economic in china as well as the expansion of urbanization, many people out of farming, and become a member of the landless peasants. They live in the position of moving from the countryside to the city, and change the generations of identity from peasants to citizenship. In the policy terms, the process is fast. But they adapt to this change is slow, including re-exploration of new ways of life and interpersonal communication mode. Therefore, we can say that groups of landless peasants is not yet fully ready for the new circumstance. Because of lacking historic experience, although the account of the identity has changed from rural household to urban household, they don’t agree with their citizenship,will still classified themselves to the identity of peasants, and to act in the way of life before, resulting in a pair incompatible with the new living environment. Coupled with the lack of government policy on social security of landless peasants, there are some stereotypes of citizens influence of such groups, so they are on the verge of urban life, causing self-identity judgments vague and inconsistent with the new environment.In this paper, the research of land-lost farmers in D village of BaoDing stands in the angle of sociology theory analysis on this problem,take two method to collect the relevant information, aims to find and discuss the causes of it, attempts to explain it from the angle of the habit, social role and social network theory of sociology. In order to have a specific solutions for them to better adapt to the city environment.This paper is divided into4parts. The first part is the background and significance, to generalize from previous domestic and foreign landless peasants identity-related research situation,then put forward the significance of this paper The sociology of the identity theory and social role theory as the theoretical basis, positioning and explaining of the related concept, and the basic situation and research methods are described in the part of the interview. The second part of this paper through interviews collected data for an overview of the identity crisis of landless peasants and summarized from habits, social networks, public attitudes and policy point of view, such as landless farmers produce identity crisis the reason,and then discuss the situation from the angle of landless farmers themselves and the outside world. The third part made in-depth analysis and interpretation to find the root of land-lost farmers identity crisis in theory. The fourth part is the revelation about the land-lost farmers identity crisis, then made a theoretical analysis of the cause, content and effect of land-lost farmers identity crisis, put forward lots of useful measures for it, so as to enhance the sense of identity, better and faster integration into the city life. Compared with previous studies abroad for landless peasants identity issues, the main innovation of this paper is to focus on using of sociological research methods and sociological theory to explain the content and causes, while other scholars the contents of the study from the perspective of political science or social security to analyze the political system and the angle of re-socialization, As this issue of the identity of them, the interviewees is just a small number in northern China’s population of landless peasants.On the other areas, this research is still lack of universal applicability, which is the inadequacy of it.
