Under the development of positive psychology, the study of psychological capital has become more and more important in many fields. Private education is a vital force of the education career, thus how to improve private school teachers’psychological capital and then their work performance is a task deserves deep research. On the basis of other’s previous studies, this research using qualitative method to analysis and then extract factors that influent primary school teachers’work performance; after that the quantitative method is used to find out the relationship among psychological capital, psychological climate and work performance; in the end, using group sandplay therapy and group counseling method to intervene private primary school teachers’psychological capital, explore effective ways to improve their psychological capital and work performance, including the precautions emerge in this intervention process.The specific conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1) There are eleven factors have made their impact on primary school teachers’work performance:salary level, leadership style, physical capital, human capital, job satisfaction, job stress, psychological capital, psychological climate, physical condition and job engagement. Leadership style is unique to private school teacher while physical condition to public school teacher.(2) There is significant difference of primary school teachers’education backgrounds and working ages; there is significant difference between private school teachers and public school teachers on psychological capital, psychological climate and work performance; there is significantly positive relevance between psychological capital, its all eight dimensions and work performance; psychological climate and its dimensions have non significant relevance with work performance; psychological capital and its all dimensions have significant relevance with psychological climate and its all dimensions.(3) The intervention of private primary school teachers’psychological capital finds that the psychological capital doesn’t improve so much but the work performance increases significantly, indicates that the group intervening method has some impact on psychological capital but not obvious, thus the improvement of work performance is not only due to the lift of psychological capital but also affected by irrelevant variables.This study have deepened and expanded previous researches, though the effect of intervention is not so obvious but the process has taught us its lessons. Hope this study could give others inspirations in this area.
