With the rapid development of technology, human society has entered the mobile Internet era. As the development of the mobile Internet,"favorite", with its unique WeChat communication modern charm gradually gained favor. Since the birth of the WeChat, the number of users has exceeded600million, as well as the growing trend. Statistics show that the overall WeChat users showed more youthful features in the WeChat users,19to30year-old more than half. WeChat integration capabilities of traditional social networking sites, while creating a series of new features, such as short voice intercom, circle of friends, shake, and other people in the vicinity of active thinking, curious, likes to experience new things, the college has a keen fashion endless appeal, WeChat has become necessities in college.Marshall McLuhan believed that "the media to shape and control the way the human connection, the size and shape of action." As a representative of the new media, WeChat has created a new way of interpersonal communication, and not only playing an active role to it, but also bringing some problems. This article aims to explore what kind of impact of WeChat to interpersonal communication of contemporary college students, mainly from the following aspects:Chapter I explains the background of the study and summarized the domestic and foreign academic research overview for this problem. Simply explain the research methods. Analyze the research significance and both from the theoretical and practical aspects.Chapter II arranges the sort of media and communication theory and research-related media communication theory. This intended to lay the foundation for the conduct of the study. Discusses the connotation and development process of WeChat, and explore the characteristics of the WeChat from the perspective of interpersonal communication. Discuss the meaning of interpersonal communication, and based on it, analyze the characteristics of college students.Chapter in use questionnaires and in-depth interview methods to comprehensively understand of the status quo of usage of WeChat in college from five areas including the WeChat time, the situation is WeChat communication objects, WeChat usage behavior, using the WeChat reasons and WeChat media communication competitiveness.Chapter IV respectively explored both positive and negative effects of short voice intercom, circle of friends, people in the vicinity, add phone contacts, shake, game center and other innovative features of interpersonal communication behaviors which college students generated. Based on the analysis above, dialectically explore the positive and negative effects of WeChat for communication of contemporary college students produced.Chapter V summarizes the study above and makes recommendations on the negative impact of WeChat produced by college students for interpersonal communication. Critically points out the shortcomings of the existing research, and provide reference for the subsequent study.
