Wechat is a personal Internet Communicator, which is designed by the Tencent Company in 2011. It is based on the information transmission, as well as the photos, videos and voice transmission.The arrival of the Internet makes people’s daily life have a great change, the rapid development of high science and technology that makes all sorts of the daily tools of high-tech be upgraded constantly. Without doubt, it contains an indispensable tool for people’s daily communication--the mobile phone.The mobile phone, as an essential communication tool in this modern society, has been supposed to be experienced a radical innovation during the past fifteen years. It changed from a tool just had a single communication function to the smart phone which has luxuriant application programs. No matter which has big contributions to human being’s way of life. While, the emergence of we-chat has a great revolutionary change in the way of communication for Chinese. We-chat makes people’s communication more and more convenient, efficient and multiplex. It changes people’s way of communication, and offers a new experience of interpersonal communication. We-chat provides people a larger platform for interpersonal communication because of its words, pictures, video, and voice transmission functions. In the meantime, with the help of the function from we-chat which is the circle of friends, the shakings, the groups, and the public consumers, people could expand their interpersonal relationships. It also contributes to the self-expression of the user of we-chat, and the establishment and maintenance of interpersonal relations.It is the interpersonal relation that is one of a most essential and indispensable factors for human’s life, and it is also a basic social demand in human’s society. In this paper, we discuss the development and the use of we-chat through the questionnaire survey with the example of the students from the Southwest University, to analyze whether the we-chat has an influence on undergraduates’ interpersonal relations. We intend to make the research and comparison from the influence of we-chat on undergraduates’ self-expression, self-realization, and the establishment of self-image. With the research and comparison, we can have a conclusion that we-chat has a positive correlation effects on students relations, and it also has a certain negative influence on personal association and some kind of social cognition, therefore, we-chat is not expected to have much real influence on undergraduates’ interpersonal relationships.
