Aimed at the problem of apartness between "the article" and "the word" in the high school, in order to get exact information about classical Chinese teaching, based on the questionnaire and interview analyses from five LiLing-area high schools, this essay analyses the separated phenomenon and attempts to seek effective approaches to solving this problem.There are following reasons for this problem. Firstly, because the Classical Chinese is concise and obscure, besides, it has features with special pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, rhetoric, the high school teachers and students emphasize the "word" instead of "the article", and ignore the article’s understanding and appreciation. Secondly, some teachers with inefficiency teaching methods are also limited to the pure knowledge analysis. Meanwhile, many students spend less time on classical Chinese and lack of enthusiasm for learning it. Thirdly, the textbook can not satisfy the students’requirements. So it is a great challenge to learn classical Chinese.In order to improve the separation between the’new classical article’ and the ’word’, in this essay there is a beneficial discussion, and the author has put forward the following solutions. Changing our beliefs is the most important; we should integrate tools and human through’ culture’. Take a variety of ways to stimulate students’ interest and select the simple and interesting classical Chinese for students. Supplement relevant basic knowledge about ancient Chinese, and improve their reading ability for classical Chinese. Besides, the teacher should improve their teaching methods and ability, pay more attention to’the article’and the ’word’ and enhance knowledge and skills to integrate theory with practice. Only in this way, can we solve this separation problem of’the article ’and ’the word’.
