When children enter primary school, they will experience a great change in teachingpurpose, contents, and methods as well as the ways of living and studying compared withkindergarten, which causes various entrance adaptation problems for first-grade students whoinitially enter the primary school. Researchers serving as tutor of first-grade classes for twoconsecutive years’ experience that first-grade students have all sorts of hardships trying adaptto the first-grade learning. Whether we can help the children who are in the foundation stageof development to successfully complete this transition to better adapt to first-grade learninglife will have an effect on the lifelong development of children. Therefore, based on theresearch findings of the education experts from countries all over the world and educatorswho work at education forefront, the researcher taking the students of certain class of firstgrade in X Primary School of Daxindian Town, Penglai City as the research object, makinguse of two sets of the questionnaires for both the teachers and their parents to conduct theinvestigation and study from the aspects of classroom learning, preparation before class, thecompletion of the homework and extracurricular learning, conducted the in-depth interviewwith their parents, teachers in primary schools and kindergarten, came to the first line ofteaching of first-grade in primary school personally and served as the first-grade head teacherof certain class personally and paid a visit to primary schools’ affiliated kindergartens to knowabout the learning adaptability problems of first-grade students in rural primary schools. Thedetails are as follows:Although they can know clearly classroom rules within a week after term begins, there isthe common phenomenon that they go against the classroom rules. Their preparation beforeclass is not enough. The literacy amount affects their completion of homework. Theirwriting posture is not correct, and their homework is not clean and tidy. It is difficult for themto finish the homework independently. It is hard for them to carry on the extracurricularlearning actively.Aiming at the above mentioned problems, the researcher conducted the analysis on thereasons why the learning adaptability problem generates from the three aspects ofkindergarten education, primary school education and home education and proposedrationalization proposals to improve or settle the learning adaptability problem of first-grade students in rural primary schools to enhance the learning adaptability of first-grade students inrural primary schools and help them adapt to the new learning life as soon as possible.
