Difference Analysis Of Learning Styles In Different Teaching Modes

Since all the time, there has been a lot of criticism in the traditional teacher-center teaching mode. With the development of teaching philosophy and educational technology, people began to try some of the new teaching modes, such as online courses or E-learning mode. However there were also emerged new problems in the actual online teaching courses. Then the blended teaching mode also came into being. Teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, the blended teaching mode can fully individualized, and make personalized teaching. And the student’s personalized aptitude is actually the same as the learner’s learning style. This study of the difference between the learning styles in two different teaching modes becomes much more important and crucial. This paper used qualitative and quantitative research methods, to consider differences in learning styles between traditional teacher-center class and blended learning class, hoping to analyze the difference between learning styles in different teaching modes, and to examine the differences in student satisfaction between program delivery methods by using an questionnaire designed by the researcher, hoping to improve learners and educators teaching contents and improve students’learning effect, fostering comprehensive high-quality talents for the country and society and make the education really according to the learner’s natural ability.The conclusions of this paper are as follows:1.There were four types of learning styles in Physical Education Majors, but the assimilate style learners was significantly less than others.2. Learning styles have significant differences on the gender in PE Majors. The proportion of males in divergent style, assimilate style and accommodate style learners was significantly higher than females, while the convergent styles’ proportion on gender was more balanced. The special characteristics of sports majors in learning style is different, but the difference was not significant.3. Learners’ course grades of two teaching modes have significant differences on the learning styles. From the perspective of learning styles, learners of convergent style performed best in the blended teaching mode, while learners of assimilate style shown best in the traditional teacher-center teaching mode.4. Learners of four learning styles in two kinds of teaching modes have different satisfaction degree over all the questions. In the blended teaching mode divergent style learners most satisfied that the class can improve learning attitude of independent analysis ability while the assimilation style learners most dissatisfied. In the traditional teacher-center teaching mode, the divergent style learners’ satisfaction of the whole judgment of the course is the highest, while the accommodate style learners’is the lowest.
