With the progress of times and the continuous advancement of educational reform, the objective of English teaching in junior high school should change from "practice, remember and recite, emphasizing grammar" to "listen, speak, read and write, emphasizing application" and so the methods of English teaching in junior high school need to be improved and promoted urgently. The "experiential learning method" pays attention to the acquisition of direct experience through practices, which will strengthen students’abilities of reflection and practice, and plans classroom teaching program scientifically. It can meet the reforming and developing needs of junior high school English. In the application of experience teaching method, English teachers are also required to shift from the main part of classroom to the leading part of it; English teaching methods should change from easy transfer of experience to scientific planning of teaching program and emphasis on direct acquisition of experience through practice. Under such a background, this paper researched the experience teaching method and explored its practical application with pedagogy and psychology as the basis and "experiential learning" as the method instruction.This paper analyzed the application status of experience teaching method in the junior high school English teaching from the perspective of English teachers and researched the application of experience teaching method in junior high school classroom through the combination of document reference and classroom survey, with corresponding solutions proposed. The main body included six parts:the first part was the introduction, stating the background, research status and relative document of the topic. The second part analyzed the status of junior high school English teaching, concluded problems in the current classroom English teaching on the basis of the status and analyzed reasons for them. The third part explored the connotation of experience teaching and provided theoretical foundation for the application of experience teaching method. The fourth part further analyzed the advantages and significance of the application of experience teaching in the junior high school English classroom. The fifth part discussed the basic pattern of the application of experience teaching. The last part discussed the implementation method of the experience teaching patterns.
