In this thesis, class two in grade seven in Nanning xinyang mid-way school was the experimental class, and class one was the control class. Various research methods, such as references analyzing, questionnaire method and statistic method, were used. Teaching strategy of mind map was applied to introducing mind map, learning new curriculums and reviewing old curriculums of ideological and moral education in junior middle school in the experimental class, yet those were carried out by the traditional teaching method without any interference. The study had been carried out for four and a half months.35 experimental classes were included, of which each was 40 minutes. The final examination of the first volume were taken as pre-test and the second volume were taken as post-test, and questionnaire of investigation and interview were criteria of assessment, teaching effect of experimental group and control group was compared.The following conclusions were obtained by data analysis on the Basis of questionnaire and experimental study:(1) Teaching strategy of mind map not only could improve students’performance, but also inspired their learning interest, learning enthusiasm and the focus on classroom. (2) Teaching strategy of mind map had different influence on students with different basis. Particularly, students with good basis were affected more significantly by teaching strategy of mind map than those with poor basis, of which the reason was be relative to learning interest, the focus on classroom and the attitude to homework. (3) Teaching strategy of mind map didn’t have obvious effect on ideology and morality of male and female students, which could improve their achievements of ideological and moral education course.
