Junior high school chemistry new curriculum reform advocated by new idea for a new challenge to the traditional chemistry teaching and chemistry teacher how to change teaching conception, how to select and implement new teaching methods, to the new curriculum concepts into specific class teaching practice, which directly affect the realization of the new curriculum goal and the success or failure of the new curriculum reform. Situational teaching method has been widely applied in the junior middle school chemistry teaching, teachers often create a variety of teaching situation, lead students to think about and arouse the students’ strong desire of chemistry learning, in the process of middle school students not only master the knowledge to solve the problem, also cultivate the good science literacy.By domestic and foreign related research literatures, this article introduces the research background and significance, combing the domestic and foreign related research status; This paper expounds the definition of situation teaching, development, function, on the basis of constructivist learning theory and the situated cognition and learning theory as the theoretical basis, on the basis of the new curriculum reform of junior middle school chemistry curriculum standards, analyzes the use of situational teaching in junior middle school chemistry concept and the basic requirements; Then expounds the junior middle school chemistry situational teaching method under the new curriculum, mainly including: using chemical experiment science inquiry type situation. Use the daily scenes to experience life situation. Use the history of chemical science story type situation. Utilization of creating problem situation. Through the chart in teaching material establishment situation. Use the multimedia auxiliary teaching means to create simulation type situation. etc. Combined with the practical teaching, the situation of the situation teaching method is studied in the form of the situation teaching method in junior middle school chemistry three kinds of common course new teaching, experiment and review lesson application. The research results show that the situational teaching in junior middle school chemistry teaching has wide applicability, and in the junior middle school chemistry classroom implementation effect is good, can through the junior middle school chemistry teaching each link, effectively combining the reality of life, using charts, experiment, problems, etc. Situational teaching, cultivating students’ inquiry ability and cooperation ability, improve the students’ interest in learning, improve learning atmosphere.
