The new curriculum reform has entered a critical stage nowadays, in order to complete the requirements of proposed by new curriculum, training students’ ability and improve the quality of teaching, cooperative learning are not only one of the teaching model advocated by the new curriculum reform, but also an important prerequisite for social progress. While cooperative learning and the “second class” has made some achievements in their application, but there were still many difficulties in some areas and did not make the teaching effectiveness in practice. In this paper, the theories of motivation and group dynamic as the theoretical basis, also based on previous theoretical studies, applied the group cooperative learning in chemistry “second class” in No.2 middle school in Chayouzhongqi, and developed corresponding teaching practice, provided students a platform to show their talent, the purpose was to aroused students’ sense of cooperation and cultivated their sense of collective honor through some teaching activities. This thesis can be divided into five chapters. The first chapter is introduction, through the new curriculum reform and the needs of society, introduced the present study situation of cooperative learning on “second class”, and summarized the purpose and significance of research. The second chapter described the basic concepts involved in research process and theories were used, had an overall understanding of the present study. The third chapter focused on the problems of research, such as the selection of research object, content selection, division of cooperative group and concrete operation steps, described each link of teaching practice process detailed. The fourth chapter through controlled unrelate variables and tested teaching experiment from the aspects of qualitative and quantitative, included make a preliminary analysis on the students’ overall feeling through questionnaires, and further made reasonable testing and evaluationfor results before and after experimented of experimental class and that in comparative class through the teaching statistics method. The fifth chapter made the final conclusion of teaching experiment, reflected the teaching experiment and prospected the research.Through corresponding teaching experiment and qualitative and quantitative analysis, it was found using group cooperative learning in chemistry “second class” in junior middle school, which can not only arouse the students’ study enthusiasm and the attitude of participation, but also developed the students’ cooperation consciousness and the sense of collective honor, which proved that the teaching effects is much better than the traditional teaching model.
