After several revolution of Chinese curriculum, we could conclude that traditional Chinese culture is much more concerned than before. By sorting out Chinese Textbooks of High School, we understand that such cultures as landscape culture, water culture, alcohol culture and moon culture had already been the national heritage closely related to Chinese spirits and thoughts. Flowers are beautiful things that nature presents us, while enjoying flowers, Chinese people constantly seek the essence of its beauty and eventually make it a kind of culture. Flower culture presents a colorful, glittering beauty; it not only contains the humanity factor and the moral factor of Chinese tradition but also the Chinese wisdom.This essay is based on the Chinese textbooks for high school published by the People’s education press. Trying to explain how the flower culture comes into and what is its essence, it also focus on the traditions and customs which are reserved and kept by Chinese people up to today. The purpose of this essay is to assist high school students who have immature value of life and world to form a common cognition about flower culture which is implicated in the textbooks, and to guide them to treat textbooks in a cultural vision. It can also help students to develop humanistic quality, aesthetic taste and spiritual literacy. And as the same time, by analyzing the culture cases in the essay, students can study more efficiently and can read traditional poems in a more effective way.
