Imagination is a kind of important characteristic ability of human.Diderot once said:“imagine, this is a trait,and without it, man can not be a poet, also cannot become a philosopher, thoughtful people, an ideal biological, a real person.” Without imagination, there is no literature and art, invention and scientific prediction. Imagination makes human society progress. The imagination of children are precious, they naturally like immersed in imagination. We can say, imagination is the unique existence of children. But in the reality of education in teaching, children’s imagination is not protected, but suppressed. As some scholars said, the current school education is a kind of "no imagination education". We reflect on the current education, "the only sub cited" is still serious, the cultivation of students’ lack of imagination is not valued. This phenomenon has aroused the concern of many scholars, but about primary school language teaching in the study of the cultivation of imagination is not thorough enough, there are many issues worthy of our in-depth inquiry.This paper tries to conduct in-depth study of this issue.First of all, I introduced the origin of the study, the cultivation of children’s imagination research situation at home and abroad and the significance of the research, and defines the concepts of imagination,children’s imagination, determine the research methods of this paper.Secondly, on the basis of reading the relevant literature,I selected Kant’s creative imagination theory, Sutter’s theory of imagination, Iser calling structure theory, Paul Ricoeur’s fictional narrative imagination theory and Liu Xie’s state of mind theory, they provide an important theoretical basis for the cultivation of children’s imagination in Chinese teaching in primary school. According to the theories,I established the cultivation of reproductive imagination in the teaching of reading, the cultivation of creative imagination in the teaching of writing.Again, I made an example of Su Jiao version primary school Chinese textbook,analysisd teaching materials in the two plate reading and writing in the imagination training problems.Then, I selected the fairy tales, poetry, mythology, the three most think that genre of literature, research on training children reproductive imagination strategy by the three genres.I selected the writing picture, creating the story, the creation of children’s poetry, writing fantasy literary writing forms of training, research training children’s creative imagination strategy by which several forms.Finally, I seized the Chinese phonetic alphabet teaching, literacy teaching and teaching of calligraphy and other education resources, to make the resources of cultivating children’simagination in primary school Chinese teaching more abundant.
