The article takes Changchun city as an example and urbanization development as the background, mainly studies the Changchun urban spatial structure evolving patterns since the founding of new China. On the basis of systematically carding the domestic and foreign relevant theory. analyzing the features of Changchun city spatial structure,evolution dynamic mechanism, the present situation characteristics of the urban spatial structure and the existing main problems in the process of new type of urbanization development, and discussing the future development trend of Changchun urban spatial structure. Changchun urban development planning, put forward the urban spatial structure optimization strategies under the background of the new urbanization development.The article is mainly built on "Changchun yearbook ", "Changchun statistical yearbook " and "Jilin Statistics Yearbook", refers to the different stages of the Changchun city map of land use and other statistics, and takes CAD, Arc GIS software as the platform. It mainly studies the distribution of Changchun city living space, industrial space and business services space, and draw each spatial distribution maps for researching the of Changchun urban space structure deeply. In article, mainly uses the analysis of compact ratio,the analysis of the urban construction land spatial density and the analysis of urban expansion intensity to reveal the basic characteristics of Changchun urban spatial structure. Through the analyzing data and combining with the city space development plan, it puts forward Changchun spatial pattern which is concentrically, scattered groups,and axial development.The first part mainly discusses the research background and basic theory research.Clearing the new concepts such as the new type of urbanization, the urban space structure and so on. In this basis, it discusses the related theories of urban spatial structure,and summarized the studies of urbanization and urban spatial structure at home and abroad.The second part mainly analyzing about the evolution of urban spatial structure, basic characteristics and dynamic mechanism.
