With the continuous development of China's economy, the per capita disposable income of urban residents rose from 343 yuan in 1978 to 39,521 yuan in 2018,and the per capita disposable income of rural residents rose from 133 yuan in 1978 to 14617 yuan in 2018.The income level of residents and rural residents has been significantly improved, but the income gap between urban and rural areas has remained high.In 1978,China's urban-rural income ratio was 2.57,reaching a maximum of 3.14 in 2007.By the end of 2018,China's urban-rural income ratio still remained.Reached 2.69.There are many reasons for affecting the income gap between urban and rural residents.Urbanization and industrial structure upgrading are two important influencing factors. How to accelerate the urbanization process while maintaining stable and rapid economic development, promote the transformation and upgrading of industrial structure and narrow the income gap between urban and rural areas. The focus of many scholars.Firstly, with the guidance of population migration and industrial structure transformation theory, this paper combines the research status at home and abroad to explain the impact mechanism of urbanization and industrial structure upgrading on urban-rural income gap.Secondly,it integrates and summarizes the status quo and existing problems of China's urbanization, industrial structure upgrading and urbanrural income gap development.Based on the statistical yearbook data of the country and provinces and municipalities since the reform and opening up,the time series analysis method is used to establish the vector autoregressive model. The response function and variance decomposition are used to explore the dynamic impact of urbanization and industrial structure upgrading on the urban-rural income gap. Finally, the spatial weight matrix is used to establish the spatial Dubin model to analyze the spatial spillover effect of urbanization and industrial structure upgrading on the urbanrural income gap.The research shows that when the urban-rural income gap is affected by two variables, the urbanization and urban-rural income gap show a “U-shaped” relationship, that is,the improvement of urbanization level can narrow the urban-rural income gap in the early stage. In the later period, the urban-rural income gap will be expanded, and the industrial structure upgrade will have an “inverted U-shaped” relationship with the urban-rural income gap.In the early stage, the urban-rural income gap will be widened, and in the later stage, the urban-rural income gap will be effectively narrowed. After adding spatial factors and related control variables, the study found that there is a strong positive spatial correlation between urban and rural income gaps in China's geographical proximity and urbanization levels.Urbanization and government intervention can significantly reduce this. The urban-rural income gap, urbanization and foreign direct investment can effectively reduce the urban-rural income gap in the surrounding areas, while the upgrading of industrial structure and government intervention will increase the urban-rural income gap in the surrounding areas. At the same time, the urban-rural income gap itself has a significant positive spatial spillover effect.According to the conclusions of this paper,in order to cope with the problem of excessive urban-rural income gap,it is proposed to guide the urbanization of science and health, actively promote the integration of urban and rural industries, and effectively coordinate the countermeasures for regional coordinated development.
