| In this paper, it regards the contents of the geometry in the Chinese textbooks and American textbooks as the subject of the comparison study. This paper selects the Chinese teaching A version of the materials with high market share and American inquiry mixed type, integrated type CPM edition, to find the USA textbook compilation concept, contents, features of textbooks, the students’ability cultivation. Hope that it will offer some suggestions and implications to our country’s comprehensive type materials.Several conclusions are concluded:1. In the perspective of knowledge content, Chinese versions are better in number of knowledge points, form and difficulty aspects;2. In the perspective of content of the presentation, the U.S. version textbook attaches great importance to the introduction of inquiry teaching and information technology;3. In the perspective of complex difficulties of exercises, in total, the difficulty of exercises of Chinese edition textbook is higher than the US version textbook exercises. But the Chinese version is not as good in the background settings and beauty edition as American version.4. In the Chinese edition textbook knowledge points are set in the body of material. The knowledge points are mainly taught by teachers and students take less part in the inquiry of points. While in the American version, the knowledge points are set in the exercises. And the majority of knowledge learning is done by students to cooperate and exchange with each other. Teachers talk less in classes.The results of the research are as follows:1. Suggestions and Reflections on the compilation of the textbook(1)Let students feel the value of mathematics and the close relationship between mathematics and life, the Chinese version of the textbook should reduce the imitation problem, increase the inquiry subject.(2)It should enhance the students’interest in learning, moreover, attention should be paid to the process of knowledge generation.(3)More exercise nature and exercise form of background should be introduced and close contacts between math and other subjects should be built.2. Suggestions and Reflections on teaching(1)Take the student as the main body, present more titles which let students doing,asking, exchanging and cooperating, to cultivate students’ doing, thinking and the exploring and inno vation ability;(2)In the practical teaching, the appropriate reference to information technology to make the abstract things more concrete;(3) When dealing with exercises, for the difficulty of the problem,can be properly guided, so that dispersing the difficultuy of difficult ones;... |
