At the beginning of 2001, a new round of Course Reformation has been took place in the country. Very wide fields have been involved in this reformation, and remarkable changes have happened in many aspects, such as courses goal, teaching approach, learning method, and assessment way, et al. Since textbook as the vehicle teaching and learning, played the important part to carry out the teaching and learning for the teachers and the students, respectively. So, the course reformation should be focus on textbook ultimately. In this course reformation, junior geometry has been proved to be the most controversy field, as it was changed too much in its contents compared to the last. So, some compared analysis research in the content of junior textbook sounds to be necessary and urgently.This thesis divided into four parts adopts four methods of documentary analysis, content analysis, comparative analysis and statistical analysis to carry out contrastive studies of geometry content. First is the introduction, including the research background, the researching issues, the research meaning and the research methods. Secondly, we present the summary of junior geometry researched at home and abroad. In the first two parts, we give an approach for the third part, which is the body section of this thesis, where we compare and analysis the large changing contents in this reformation out of four series current and outdated junior textbooks. In part four, we get the conclusion. At last, based on the conclusion, we also give some constructed advises for the textbook compiling and some worth issues to discuss.
