A Study On The Relationship Between Security And The Degree Of Career Decision Of The College Students

Since our country’s higher education enrollment expansion, the number of high school graduates record continuously, especially in recent years, the employment situation of college students become very serious. In this situation, how to better guide the university students’ employment and help students the right career decision has become a major problem facing universities. From the point of view of individual colleges and students, if you want to effectively solve the problem, it is the first thing to study on the status and influential factors of college students’career decision level. Security is the possible danger or risk prediction and also is seen as a synonym for mental health. The lack of security will directly affect all aspects of the college students including physical, mental health, attitudes towards things, do things the way and the view of the future. College students’ sense of security, therefore, it is possible that the degree of influence college students’ career decision is an important factor.This study applies the empirical research method investigating 840 college students in guangxi by "career decision scale" and "security scale". Using SPSS19.0 statistical software, by descriptive statistics, independent samples t test, single factor analysis of variance, correlation analysis and regression analysis to explore the decision level of college students’ sense of security and career status and the relationship between them.The main conclusions are as follows:1. In the aspect of college students’ sense of security:College students’sense of security is 3.62. College students’ the average of personal security and determine the average of control were 3.73,3.5, which were greater than theoretical value in 3 and show that college students’ sense of security in the average level. On the demographic variables, College students’ sense of security and its two dimensions are significant differences in the gender variable;The college students’ sense of security and its two dimensions exist significant differences in national variables;College students’ sense of security and its two dimensions in the professional category variable does not exist significant difference;College students’ sense of security and its two dimensions which there is no significant difference in degree variables; College students’ sense of security and its two dimensions which does not exist significant differences in grade variables; College students’ sense of security and its two dimensions exist significant differences in student cadre variables; College students’ sense of security and its two dimensions exist significant differences in interpersonal relationship between variables; College students’sense of security and its two dimensions exist significant differences in family relationship between variables; College students’ sense of security and its two dimensions which there is no significant difference in part-time variables; College students’ sense of security and its two dimensions exist significant differences in professional practice variables.2.In terms of degree of college students’ career decision:Decision level of college students’ career averages of 2.31, but less than 2.5 between 2-3, which show that college students’ career decision level is at a level below average. On the demographic variables,College students’ career decision level there are no significant difference on gender variables; College students’ career decision level exist significant differences on the national variables; Degree of college students’ career decision in the professional category variables exist significant difference; College students’ career decision level there are significant differences in degree variables; College students’ career decision level there are significant differences in grade variables; College students’ career decision level there is no significant difference in the student cadre variables; College students’ career decision level significant differences on the interpersonal relationship between variables; Degree of college students’ career decision does not exist significant differences in family relationship between variables; Degree of college students’ career decision on part-time variables exist significant difference; College students’ career decision level significant differences on professional practice variables.3. In the college students’ sense of security and the relationship between the degree of career decision:College students’ sense of security. and its two dimensions and the degree of the career decision were extremely significant positive correlation, that level of college students’sense of security is higher, the higher the degree of college students’ career decision will have, the more tend to career has decided. College students’ sense of security has positive prediction function to the extent of career decision, college students’security to explain the degree of career decision at a rate of 16.4%. Two dimensions of college students’sense of security in the human sense of security and determine the control have linear regression relationship and the degree of the career decision, first by the determine of control into the regression model, the degree of it on college students’ career decision can be explained at a rate of 14.6%, then the human security into the regression model, it explain the degree of college students’career decision at a rate of 1.8%.
