The Research On The Performance Assessment Of Student Management Personnel In A College

Student management personnel in higher education institutions is the backbone of the ideological and political education. With the development and reformation of Chinese higher education the research on the Performance Assessment of student management personnel is of great significance under the current situation. It is a special group,and the instability and complicacy of the work make the evaluation of the personnel much more difficult. The paper analyzes problems of the Performance Assessment of student management personnel in A college, and puts forward solutions. It is focused on the establishment of scientific and reasonable system in A college.The paper elaborates the definitions of performance and Performance Assessment, functions, principles, methods and purposes of Performance Assessment. Besides, it describes Delphi Theory and Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) Theory, which provide theoretical guidance for the build-up of the system and set theoretical basis for research of the system in A college.In this paper, the result of the Performance Assessment is composed of two parts: individuals and department.In order to guarantee the systematicness, scientificity, maneuverability and integrity, it adopts suggestions from leaders of A college, authorities and front-line staff through interviews, establishes indicator system by applying Delphi Theory, and determines the weight by utilizing AHP Theory. This system accurately demonstrates the working characteristics of A college. Under its scientific and reasonable guidance, the personnel could easily discover the areas of improvement and problems needing to be addressed, resulting in the advancement of working performance.
