Acting-based reading refers to the reading activities in which students cooperate their facial expressions, movements, pronunciation and intonation with sound language in elementary school Chinese classroom like drama performance. Acting-based reading has very important significance on the elementary school Chinese classroom teaching:it not only can improve elementary school students’ comprehension and understanding ability, but also can develop their language expression ability, thinking ability and aesthetic ability. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct application research and explore the application effect in elementary school Chinese classroom teaching. The research contents are as follows:the first chapter is introduction and it includes research questions, the related literature both at home and abroad, and definition and research methods of the paper. The second chapter is about the meaning and characteristics of acting-based reading and it elaborates the meaning and three basic characteristics, namely, intuition, comprehensiveness and dynamic nature. The third chapter is about the positive significance of acting-based reading in the elementary school Chinese classroom on Chinese learning and it discusses from the improvement of the elementary students’ comprehension and understanding, language, thinking and aesthetic ability. The fourth chapter is about the use strategies of acting-based in the elementary school Chinese classroom, including material selection, the arrangement of readers, practice, display, evaluation and matters to be noticed. The fifth chapter is conclusion part, and it mainly summarizes the research and puts forward the deficiencies of the paper and the study prospects of the field.
