Abstract:Questionsare not only the starting point of thinking,the actual place where learning is processing,but also the premise of creation.All the valuable inventions and creations are originated from questions.Classroom questioning,as one ofthe teaching method or teaching procedure,is of vital importance of guiding students to think deeply and promoting the thinking development of students.Using teaching methods and teaching procedures correctly plays an indispensable role in the concentration of students’ learning attention,the aspiration of their curiosity as well as the guidance of their deep thinking ability.Mathematics is the science of thinking,fostering students’ mathematical thoughts is the primary task.And the major way to cultivate and develop minds is the reflection after the interaction between teachers and students.Without dialogue and discussion,students merely acquire knowledge at an experienced level.However,after joining the elementary school mathematics classes,we discover that there are still two aspects of problems existing in math classes of primary school.Firstly,the original cramming education has become the current problematic education.Teachers are always asking questions and students are answering accordingly over the whole class without any arguments or discussions.A class that lacks of discussions and debates is doomed to fail.Secondly,the quality of classroom questioning doesn’t work well.Most teachers ask questions casually and very few teachers can think deeply or design the question specially.There are many questions about factual knowledge during a class,which directly leads to the loss in implications and values to further promote the development of students’ minds.With the guidance of Bloom’s and Waylon’s questioningtheory,a series of suggestions have been raised.For example,a total designing is necessary for class questioning;questions should be of moderate difficulty;questioning and designing should be based on textbooks and give approaches;questions ought to be clear and definite that cater to the characteristics of students’ perception,and at the same time,they should be endowed with enlightments.What’s more,questioning should face to all students and be alloyed appropriately;special attention should be paid to the speed,pauses and necessary repetitions when speaking.Moreover,to develop the questioning awareness,the questioning habits,and their questioning ability also should be promoted accordingly.At the same time,three conclusions through two bouts of acting researches may draw which regards the classroom teaching asthe research objects,with the help of the Bloom’s theory ofteaching and questioning,accompanied with Waylon’s theory of effective questioning,and applying the approach of acting researches.The first one is that the quality of teachers determines the quality of classroom questions;the second is that positive feedbacks are effective factors in activating classroom dialogues;the third one is that the main purpose of class questioning is students’ questions.
