Values education is an important part of history education in middle school, and the important function of history teaching. It has a key position in three-dimensional object teaching of new curriculum teaching reform that cannot be replaced. In the past, teachers and scholars have their own goals and focus attention in values education in middle school, mainly concentrated in the socialist core value system, collectivism national concept, humanist values, life value, historical value education and so on. But because it is lack of a uniform core values educational philosophy to leading, the function of values education in history teaching cannot be fully exploited. The 18 th CPC national congress in 2012 puts forward the concept of core socialist values, its "Three advocate" unified the core content of value education, provides guidance on global significance for the middle school history education. Especially the “Patriotism, Dedication, Integrity, Friendship” values at the individual level, gathering of traditional culture and contemporary spirit into an organic whole, define the moral norm and the principles that all citizens should follow from the national lay. And it is closer to the daily lives of high school students that can be easy to cause the students’ emotional resonance.The purpose of the “Patriotism, Dedication, Integrity, Friendship” core value education in history teaching is to eliminate the negative influence that be caused by the characteristics of the high school students values(pluralism, polarization and knowing but cannot do it), through the characteristics of richness, objectivity and regularity of history, and the setting of three-dimensional target in history teaching about value education. This education can be helpful in prompting the students to develop correct value to individual, family, community, and the nation. At the same time, the core value education can give students the belonging of Chinese traditional culture, the identity to the socialism with Chinese characteristics, and the sense of mission of country and the socialist cause.During the period of value cultivating, teachers fully exploit the teaching material about the “Patriotism, Dedication, Integrity, Friendship” value in textbooks, supplementing the material to rich the strong point of character case. By designing the teaching process carefully, the teachers make the core value education ideas into the daily teaching of history. In this process, teachers should pay attention to the teaching material(the wide range of exploitation and the moderate degree of using), to update their professional knowledge and improve literacy skills, and focus on the feedback of the teaching evaluation for the core values, so that it can make the core socialist values into students` hearts, showing in the actual operation, to achieve the purpose of cultivating core values.
