In the 21 st century, with the rapid development of science and technology, film and television media technology has also obtained rapid development. In such an era of knowledge every day with geometric ratio growth, the film and television media has become an important way for students to obtain knowledge of history. Science and education video resources’ vivid pictures, the story of narrative way to attract students’ attention, students acquire knowledge while enjoy the visual feast. So how to apply science and education video resources to the junior middle school history teaching is every history teacher should be thinking about.This paper concretely researches the application of science and education video resources in history teaching in junior middle school, and it has three parts. The first part, this article from the establishment and implement of modern education concept, history subject characteristics,students’ psychological development, the cultivation of students’ initiative explore spirit and teachers’ teaching method diversification these five aspects to discuss the necessity of video resources used in junior middle school history teaching; The second part, this paper thinks that teachers should follow five principles when chose science and education video resources, namely the central principle, representative principle, the principle of suitability, educational principle and exploratory principle;The third part, namely case studies that the application of science and education video resources used in junior middle school history teaching.The article first discusses elements of the science and education video resources in junior middle school history teaching, and the basis and strategy when teachers chose science and education video resources.Teachers chose resources should be according to the requirements of thetimes, teaching content and students’ psychological characteristics. And the application of science and education video resources need to pay attention to strategies: reasonable arrangement of media resources play time, when broadcast media resources teachers should give proper explanation to students and media resources should be combined with discussion. On the basis, this article focuses on the application of science and education video resources in history teaching in junior middle school,including classroom teaching and activities. Class teaching is divided into class at the start, the classroom teaching process and class at the end.Every part has typical cases, and finally in case application analysis the article selects a case from the classroom teaching and activity to descript the application of science and education video resources in history teaching in detail.
