| ObjectiveBy this studying, we can understand the present situation about the psychological capital and learning efficiency of nursing students in Hengyang of Hunan province; discuss the relationship between the psychological capital and learning efficiency of nursing students; analyze synthetically the main factors of influencing learning efficiency of nursing students; study the effect of psychological capital intervention(PCI) on learning efficiency of nursing students so as to provide reference in improving the levels of the psychological capital and learning efficiency of nursing students for higher vocational colleges. MethodsBy using stratified cluster sampling method, 403 nursing students from Hunan vocational and technical college of environmental biology in Hengyang of Hunan province were extracted in the questionnaire survey. General data questionnaire survey was applied to know population sociology data of nursing students. Psychological capital questionnaire survey of college students was used to understand the present situation of psychological capital of nursing students. Academic self-efficacy scale was used to investigate learning efficiency of nursing students. Through the baseline survey, two natural classes with lower learning efficiency scores were selected as investigated objections, which were divided into intervention group(n=46) and control group(n=46). Nursing students in control group did not received any interventional actions, whereas ones in intervention group were treated with PCI. under the guidance of the positive psychological intervention model established by Luthans, the detailed intervention measures of psychological capital of nursing students were formulated. Parallel contrast of the intervention group and control group was designd. 100 nursing students compose the. Each group is 50 nursing students. Psychological capital and learning efficiency were compared between the two groups before intervention, and 2 and 4 month end after intervention. SPSS17.0 statistical software was used to sort out and analyze all the data. Results(1) The average score of psychological capital of nursing students was 4.28 ± 0.70. Among them, the average score of four dimensions of optimism,, confidence hope and resilience was 4.55 ± 0.83, 4.35 ± 0.74, 4.09 ± 0.80 and 4.07 ± 0.75, respectively. The average score of academic self-efficacy of nursing students was 3.27 ± 0.41. Among them, the average score of two dimensions of the learning ability self-efficacy and learning behavior self-efficacy was respectively 3.31 ± 0.54, 3.24 ± 0.43.(2) There was statistical significance in the different scores of psychological capital of nursing students in grade, student source, alone condition, family types, whether to have won the scholarship and whether to be class cadres(P < 0.05). There was statistical significance in the different scores of academic self-efficacy of nursing students in grade, student source, alone condition, family types, whether to have won the scholarship and whether to be class cadres(P < 0.05).(3) There were positive correlations between scores of psychological capital of nursing students and each dimension and scores of learning efficiency of nursing students and each dimension.(4) The main factors of influencing learning efficiency of nursing students were the psychological capital.(5) There was no statistical significance in the differences of general data of the research object between the intervention group and control group(P > 0.05). After two and four month end after intervention, the scores of psychological capital and academic self-efficacy were significantly increased in intervention group compared with control group(P < 0.05). Conclusion(1) The levels of psychological capital and learning efficiency of nursing students are overally located in the middle to upper. There is a positive correlation between psychological capital and learning efficiency. Nursing students’ psychological capital is a main factor influencing learning efficiency.(2) Grade, student source, family structure, family types, whether to have won the scholarship and whether to be class cadres can affect psychological capital and learning efficiency of nursing students(3) The intervention scheme of psychological capital of nursing students under the guidance of the positive psychological intervention model established by Luthans can significantly improve psychological capital and learning efficiency of nursing students. |
