Basketball is deeply loved by many activists, whether middle-aged or teenager. Modern basketball sports is the contest of the comprehensive strength of physical, technical, tactical, mental aspects. Each team uses various aspects ability to score in the other side’s basket and keeps the opponent from scoring. Although the basketball rules are increasingly improved and the basketball tactics are gradually changed, yet scoring ability is still the measurement of a team’s attracking ability and directly influences the final result of the game. The appliance of the shooting ability plays an important role in a game.In general,the rate of shooting average relatives to the coordination of muscles, especially upper limb’s coordination, and good muscle feeling that proprioception should be able to effectively improve the shooting average. Therefore,the passage tries to improve the upper limb’s proprioception by the use of image training, and explores the relationship with the shooting average during the study.The study introduces image training into the teaching activities through experiment in basketball class in Soochow University, aiming at verifying that the method of combining image training and practical training can improve shooting average effectively, and seeking the relationship among image training, proprioception and shooting average. The study basing on the literature information statistical method’s and so on,summarizes the current situlation of image training and proprioception.It used 70 freshmen of basketball class in Soochpw University as experimentation for further study to statistically analyse the experiment result. Here are the conclusions:(1)The training method combining the image training and skill training is better than mere skill training.(2)Image training can improve the musle’s proprioception.(3)Proprioception has positive correlation with shooting average.
