On April 28, 2013, General Secretary Xi Jinping, when having a discussion meeting with the national model labors, pointed out that the people create the history and labor creates the future, which emphasizes that labor is the fundamental force to promote the development and progress of human society. We must rely on diligent, honest and creative labor to achieve our goals and start our better future. In today’s word,international competition is becoming increasingly fierce and quality education grows more popular, labor-consciousness education plays an important part in the quality education of schools in the new period.However, labor-consciousness education is becoming neglected, various problems becoming increasingly urgent, which makes the current situation of education far from optimistic. In order to promote the middle school students’ all-round development, and response to the call of the times, we must strengthen the labor-consciousness education of middle school students. Labor-consciousness education I selected is a practical, targeted, scientific research topic, through which I hope to draw people’s attention to labor- consciousness education for middle school students,and expected to provide some useful thinking for the cultivation of the students consciousness of labor.Based on the Marxist theory, combined with the contemporary middle school students’ quality education idea and the new curriculum reform requirements, the meanings of labor, labor consciousness and labor-consciousness education are analyzed firstly. Then the main contents and characteristics of the contemporary middle school students’ labor-consciousness education are conducted. Based on this, the thesis expounds the necessity of the contemporary middle school students’ labor-consciousness education. Through detailed investigation and deep interview, the current situation of middle school students’ labor-consciousness education is known and some problems are found and summarized. The main reasons for those problems are discussed. Finally, some solutions are put forward to strengthen the students’ awareness of labor-consciousness education, including transforming the idea and mode of labor education, enriching the content of labor education based on life, perfecting the labour education evaluation and incentive mechanism to better the labor education environment and inspire students’ self education consciousness.
