Chemistry is a very practical natural science which is based on experiments, and the core knowledge of it has been widely used in all aspects of the natural sciences. All the subjects constitute a powerful force of the creation and modification of the nature by complementing each other. According to Chinese population situation, the number of farmers accounts for half of the data. And the vast majority area of Liangshan Yi autonomous prefecture belongs to the alpine region. Just because of this, the weather here is cold and the living conditions are rather difficult. So that how to make the students here to learn the knowledge as well as the learning method and how to be a good person who can learn to live better in the future become the current primary job of our school. In order to get to know the current situation of rural middle school chemistry teaching of Liangshan prefecture in Sichuan province Yi Nationality region, and analyze the reasons for its slow development, I chose Yuexi County of Liangshan Prefecture as the object of investigation and research.I have had an interview with several rural middle schools from this county about their school’s existing chemistry teaching facilities, situations of chemistry teachers’ qualification, and some other aspects of these schools. And after I analyzed the current situation of rural middle school chemistry teaching of Liangshan Prefecture, I found out some problems in the teaching activity. With a view to the development of ethnic education in the Yi areas, I have put forward some measures to improve and promote the teaching from my point of view.
