| With the rapid aging of the population age structure in our country, it will be very important for us to develop the elderly sport." Healthy Aging" is a very important strategic measures and strategic objectives, which was put forward to meet the challenges of the aging population.Because of the continues increasing of scientific and cultural and economic level, the development of elderly sports in our country diversification presents. Many old people realize the importance of their own physical health, they wish to break old customs and traditions awareness of the concept, seeking scientific and healthy lifestyle. By physical exercises, hoping them to promote physiology situation, healing and fitness, in close contact with all sectors of society, expanding social interaction, and to find a new spiritual. Because of the special nature of the physical characteristics of the elderly and taking considering of their physical and mental health needs, Tai Chi, as a traditional sport in our country, is becoming more and more popular.The object of this study is Tai Chi simplified 24 impact on physical and mental health of older women.According to SF-36 scale, selecting 40 older women, who haven’t practiced Tai Chi before and have no healthy problem at the same time, as the research object in Yantai, and then divided them into two groups, control group and experimental group, each group has 20 members. Measurements were carried out on their physical and psychological indicators of data before and after the experiment, through the way of case, questionnaire investigation, literature and mathematic statistics, logic analysis to analysis the date. And the result show that:(1) Scientific and rational Tai Chi exercise can improve older women’s health,meanwhile reducing weight, BMI index, body fat rate, heart rate and blood pressure, reducing the waistline, increasing body balance and flexibility(P<0.05). However, aspects of grip strength, it’s meaningless(P>0.05), it shows that there is no significant change, so it means that the Tai Chi simplified 24 has no good effect on grip strength in a short time.(2) In terms of mental health intervention, the results, of the whole 10 factors in SCL-90 Scale, were all improved(P<0.05),especially in compulsion, interpersonal relationships, anxiety, hostility, paranoia, psychosis, means that Scientific and rational Tai Chi has good effect on elders’ mental health.(3) 24 simplified Tai Chi has more positive impact on elder women’s mental health than on physical healthy.(4) Tai Chi is a very relaxing sport, required people pay more attention on eyes, hands, steps, body’s closely cooperation.(5) Tai Chi requires practitioners persistent, systematic scientific training must be long, before they can generate more significant stabilizing influenceThrough these studies, the result shows that Tai Chi has both effect on elder’s physical and mental health, meanwhile here is some countermeasures for the development of Tai Chi. The government departments must support the elderly tai chi exercise, bring in more high-level professional personnel, and propagandize more to the public at the same time. For elder women, they must take more exercise of Tai Chi, strengthing the awareness of exercising tai chi’s characteristics and values, during the workout so that they better understand the benefits of tai chi, which can persist long Tai Chi exercise. |
