| As the deepening of the new curriculum reform, new requirements on teacher-student relationship have been proposed in high school political courses. Subject to long-standing examination-oriented education, most teachers and students have been accustomed to cramming method of teaching, which indicates that the teacher is the center in a class, while students are only passive learners. This traditional teaching mode, limits to teaching and learning “objective knowledgeâ€, has deviated from the philosophy of the new curriculum reform and leads to shortage of communication between teachers and students. It is meant to be a failure since it neglects that students are the subject of education. However, the situation of simply blending teaching and learning will be completely changed by communicative teaching. It will also subvert the instructors’ dominant position and students’ subordinate position in education. Emphasizing the interaction between instructors and students, communicative teaching encourage teachers to share knowledge and experience and students, on the other hand, to reflect their feelings and opinions. More than simply being the subject of teaching, instructors will be leaders who shall encourage students to get involved in classroom activities, and therefore, stimulate their interest and enthusiasm. This mode not only meets the requirements of quality education, but also promotes the effectiveness of politics-teaching in high school. Communicative teaching shall be applied to ideological and political courses in high school in order to adapt to the requirements of new curriculum reform as well as improve teaching efficiency. To utilize the method, the characteristics of high school politics teaching and interpersonal communication theory shall be analyzed from the viewpoint of connotation of educational communication. Therefore, according to the interpersonal communication theory, effective communicative teaching strategies for high school politics-teaching could be thoroughly discussed through studying the five basic elements in Lasswell’s“5Wâ€mode. Based on the methodology mentioned above, this research will provide some references for politics teaching in high school. |
