How to develop students’ critical thinking in a technology-enriched class? In the research, we construct an ICT-based(information and communication technologies) instruction mode for critical thinking in two classes including 105 students from a senior high school. We design, develop and implement the instruction mode through the curriculum of general technology with the method of action research.Firstly, the researcher analyzed how technology curriculum can enhance learners’ critical thinking through literature review about the way of developing critical thinking.Secondly, the researcher defined the performance of critical thinking in the curriculum of general technology.Thirdly, the researcher designed, developed and implemented the ICT-based instruction mode for 10 months including 14 classes. During this period, performance, feedback, and the class-story about all the students was recorded in the researcher’s dairy.Finally, the researcher compared the data of the pre-test and the post-test with the scale of CCTDI and found out that the latter was higher which showed the enhancement of students’ critical thinking. Moreover, both the questionnaire for students and the analysis of the researcher’s dairy showed students had good performance of applying critical thinking in the class.
