Objective: To investigate the decision-making characteristics of the high level basketball players in Colleges and universities, and to verify the ability of decision making to the general situation. Two from the behavior and cognitive mechanism of basketball decision-making, the decision-making behavior and the characteristics of ERP(event related potential) in the situation of the high level basketball players in Colleges and universities are discussed.Research methods: in this study selected college high level basketball players and basketball training history system students as subjects, divided into groups of athletes and college students, the last valid subjects each 15. Studies using the similar to a higher degree of animal pictures, asked the subjects to judge whether to belong to the same type of animal and then make a decision, on different levels and different image types under basketball player character of the decision. In Study 2, the NBA basketball classic game cut pictures, picture frames in the moment the player with the ball attack, let judgment made by the player with the ball attack types(breakthrough, passing or shooting) decision, to discussion group of athletes and college students group under different decision tasks must policy characteristics and cognitive mechanism.Results:(1) there were no obvious differences in the responses of the athletes and the college students in the general situation of the task of the students and the students.(2) the second study, decision score and accuracy analysis in the group main effect(P=0.000<0.01) and difficulty types(P = 0.004, P=0.003<0.01) significantmain effect, groups and task types of interaction effects have significant difference(P=0.036<0.05), the group of athletes and college students in cognitive decision-making and intuitive decision-making decision score have significant difference(P=0.004<0.01), group of athletes both in cognitive decision-making or intuitive decision making decision score and the correct rate were significantly higher than those in the group of college students.(3) in the second experiment, reaction group main effect is very significant P=0.000<0.01. And the main effect of task type without significant difference P=0.519 P=0.802>0.05, groups and task type of interaction was not significant P=0.132>0.05.(4) two groups of cognitive decision confidence, higher than the average of intuition in decision making is the level of confidence; two decision-making task, the athletes group decision-making level of confidence are higher than that of group of college students.(5) the P1 component: both cognitive decision task or the intuitive decision-making and peak amplitude of ordinary college students group to group was higher than that of athletes; in addition to the peak amplitude of the intuitive decision-making occipital region between the two groups of no significant difference(P=0.467>0.05), the effect between the other groups are very obvious P=0.00<0.01, in decision-making tasks of high level athletes group evoked P1 latency were to short from the ordinary college students group; in the occipital region between the two groups of incubation no significant difference(P = 0.29, P=0.116>0.05), in frontal and parietal regions between group effect very significantly(P = 0.00<0.01).(6) the P2 component: cognitive decision task group of athletes peak in the three brain regions were higher than the new peak, in the frontal and parietal regions were appeared the obvious(P = 0.000, P=0.004<0.05) differences, no particularly obvious difference(P=0.606>0.05) peak amplitude in the occipital region. Intuitive decision making task group students peak in the three brain regions were higher than those of group of athletes, wave peak in three brain regions of the group main effect appeared significant difference(P = 0.034, P = 0.026, P=0.048<0.05), college students group cognitive decision task in the incubation period in the three brain regions were longer than the latency of the group of athletes, are showed out the obvious(P = 0.003, P = 0.004, P=0.001<0.01) differences. The latency of the athletes group in the three brain regions was longer than that of the college students, and there were significant differences in the frontal and parietal regions(P=0.000, P=0.008<0.05).(7) N270 component: cognitive decision task under two groups of subjects there was no significant difference(P=0.256>0.05) peak amplitude in the occipital region and intuitive decision-making task under two groups of subjects are significantly different(P=0.000<0.01) peak amplitude in the occipital region. Two types of tasks under the frontal and parietal areas of the group effect was obvious P=0.000<0.01, two groups of subjects in the two types of task stimuli induced a N270 latency appeared a very significant difference(P=0.000<0.01).Research conclusions:(1) the special decision-making ability of the high level basketball players in Colleges and universities can not be moved to the general situation, that is, there are no differences between the two groups in the general situation.(2) universities high level basketball athlete’s decision-making behavior is fast and accurate, the confidence level is accord with expected accuracy; in the reaction of two kinds of decision tasks without significant difference. The correct rate of the cognitive decision making is higher than that of intuitive decision making.(3) in the exercise of the special situation, the three constituents of P1, P2 and N270 were induced in the exercise of the special situation.(4) in the two decision-making tasks, the peak of P1 is smaller, the shorter the incubation period is, and the quicker the decision can be captured on the scene.(5) the difficulty of task affected the peak and latent period of the P2 component, and the higher the peak latency, the higher the latency, the better the decision making ability of basketball is.(6) the difficulty of task affected the peak and latent period of N270 component, and the lower the peak wave peak, the lower the latency, the better the decision making ability of basketball is.(7) group of athletes consumption less mental resources inhibited the other irrelevant stimulus interference, direct extraction of location information, call memory storage in the psychological resources speed, accelerate the speed of information extraction, so as to improve the decision accuracy and response speed.(8) the decision-making task difficulty of the special situational decision task has the effect on the decision-making efficiency and the brain nerve activity. The greater the degree of difficulty, the search efficiency is low, the longer history of cerebral cortex is activated, the greater the energy consumption psychology.
