Improving university teachers teaching ability and teaching level of teachers,improving the quality of higher education, has become the focus of at present,China’s popularization of higher education period. Around 2012,the colleges and universities in our country began to set up the teachers’ teaching development center.Especially in July 2012, the ministry of education issued a " notice about to start the national teacher teaching demonstration center construction work " (high department letter [2012] no.107).This "notice" made a decision that during the "twelfth five-year", the ministry of education key support the development of the construction of 30 national teacher teaching demonstration center, the range of center mainly in the central ministries in colleges and universities. Based on the "985" colleges and universities teachers’ teaching development center as the research object, analyzes the "985" of the general situation and characteristics of the university teachers’ teaching development center, the existence question and the reason. The study found that following problems in the teachers’ teaching development center at present:Center construction progress is different; central website resources construction is poor, so the management system of center is not perfect; Center staff to invest limited work energy;The coordinated development of center function not very good,department functions working effect is not obvious even not using inadequate effect in center of teaching resources; The construction of teacher training weight, ignoring the construction of morality quality.Based on the above problems, the author analyses the reasons of the teaching development center problems. Combined with the famous University of California at Berkeley Center for Research on Learning and Teaching of construction experience.For Strengthening the construction of Teacher Education Development Center in the "985" Universities,author put forward the following suggestions:The first is Ministry of education to strengthen the construction of Teacher Education Development Center for policy guidance; The second is the "985" universities should attach importance to the construction of Teacher Education Development Center, from the ideas, organizational structure, team building and material security angles;The third is the center should improve the internal management and operation mechanism; The fourth is teachers of "985" universities should make full use of the center to improve the ability and level.
