In recent years, the Internet is growing at an alarming pace, and the Internet addiction problems of junior high school students are becoming more and more serious. Junior high school students is in the developmental stage of puberty, mental state is not mature enough and stable enough, the ability of self-control is relatively poor, and easy to be impulsive. Meanwhile, with the growing awareness, the curiosity and desire to learn new things also increase, but their discernment is poor. Therefore, as a special group, the junior high school students are more easily get addicted in the Internet. So it is necessary to help students to have a correct understanding of themselves and guide them to surf the internet rationally. The junior high school students is the object of the study, and we conducted a research on the relationship among self-concept, loneliness and Internet addiction and their features, dig out the underlying reason of junior high school students’ Internet addiction, to help students to have a correct understanding and evaluation about themselves to form a positive self-concept,thus students can grow healthily both in mind and body, and provide a new theoretical perspective for the prevention and intervention of junior high school students’ Internet Addiction.In this study, we adopted the Tennessee Self Concept Scale, questionnaire on adolescent loneliness that revised by Zou Hong and the Internet Addiction Scale(IAT) compiled by Young of the University of Pittsburgh, we sent out the questionnaires in Normal University High School of Shijiazhuang, the Fourth high school of Tangshan and the Ninth high school of Tangshan, The Second high school of Shahe, and had data analysis of the 1031 valid questionnaires, to explore the relationship among self-concept, loneliness and internet addiction and their features.The SPSS17.0 software was applied for data processing and analysis, following are research results :1.The characteristics of junior middle school students’ Internet addiction disorder:(1)Junior high school students has a more serious problem of Internet addiction.(2)There are distinct differences of the Junior high school student Internet addiction such as gender, grade, the education background of their fathers.2.The characteristics of junior middle school students’ Self-concept:(1)Overall reached a high level, all the scores in descending order as follows: self-identity, self-satisfaction, self-action, social self, moral- ethical self, physical self, psychological self, family self, self-criticism;(2)The distinct differences among gender, grade, only child and non-only child, single parent and two parents. Gender differences exist in moral- ethical self, self-criticism, self-identity. Grade differences exist in physical self,moral- ethical self, family self, social self,self-criticism, self-identity, self-satisfaction, self-action and self-score. Differences of only child and non-only child exist in moral- ethical self, family self, self-identity, self-satisfaction and the total score. The differences between single parent and two parents exist in the self-identity.3.The Internet addiction junior high school students and the junior high school students who have no Internet addiction have different self-concept in dimensions, specifically in the physical self, moral- ethical self, family self, social self, self-criticism, self-identity, self-satisfaction, self-action and self-total points.4.The characteristics of junior middle school students’ loneliness:(1)Overall reaches a certain level, all the scores in descending order as follows: social skills perception, pure loneliness, peer relationships evaluation, social needs are not satisfaction;(2)There are distinct differences in gender, grade, location, single and non-single. Gender differences mainly in the fellowship evaluation. Grade differences embodied in pure loneliness and fellowship evaluation. Regional differences in the specific performance of pure loneliness, the no satisfaction of social needs and total score.5.The Internet addiction junior high school students and the junior high school students who have no Internet addiction have different loneliness in dimensions, specifically in the pure sense of loneliness, perceived social skills, peer relationships evaluation, no satisfaction of social needs and loneliness score.6.There is a significant correlation among self-concept and Internet addiction disorder, self-concept and loneliness, loneliness and Internet addiction disorder.7.Self-concept is a significant predictor of Internet addiction disorder; Self-concept is a significant predictor of loneliness; loneliness is a significant predictor of Internet addiction disorder.8.Self-concept has impact on Internet addiction disorder through loneliness, loneliness partly plays intermediary role between self-concept and Internet addiction disorder.
